In this permanent GP role in the Canterbury area of NZ, you will be supporting a practice with around 6500 registered patients.

THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM

The premises have recently relocated to a new purpose designed building that was a finalist in the 2020 NZ Designers Guild awards. There are eight consulting rooms, three observation rooms and a procedure room with a separate workspace for our GPs and Nurse Practitioners. There is also a separate respiratory area with high quality ventilation to ensure infection control. 

Your patient base will encompass a broad range of people across age groups, ethnicities, and socio-economic status. Maori and Pacifika peoples have a strong presence in this community and our client has good links with local Maori & Pacifika health agencies. This team is committed to improving the health outcomes for all. There is also a sizable South-east Asian community in this area, particularly those who have settled from the Philippines. Many Pasifika community people settle here from Samoa and Tonga.

ABOUT YOU

• You will have registration, or eligibility for registration, to work as a GP in New Zealand*
• Up to date certification in ACLS – equivalent to Level 5 of the Core Resuscitation Council ACLS requirements
• Sensitivity to a variety of cultures and an interest in embracing the special character of this welcoming community
