If you are a clinically practicing doctor, there are various opportunities to participate in paid market research studies where you receive compensation for your time. You can earn, for example, 300-1000 DKK depending on the scope of the study and whether it is an online survey, telephone interview, or other type of research method. The company M3 Global Research is one of the major players in healthcare market research. Here, we’ll explain how it works and address the most common myths about paid surveys for doctors. The article contains an affiliate link to M3, which helps support our site.

How does it work?
After you register to the M3 research panel for healthcare professionals, you will start receiving study invitations via email to paid studies that you potentially fit the target group for. You can then fill in your profile on your M3 account by answering questions about your profession, specialization area, years of experience and other information for you to get invited to relevant surveys that fit your profile.

Before you can participate in a paid study, you have to go through some online screening questions to ensure that you are in the exact target group. It can be like threading a needle, but if you pass, you will either be directed to an online survey or scheduled for a telephone interview, depending on what you signed up for.

Surveys close when there are enough respondents, and it can happen quickly.

After you complete a paid survey, you will be able to see the compensation on your M3 account, in the section called “M3 Wallet”. The compensation will be available in your wallet after the study is closed, which can vary between a few days or a few weeks depending on when you participated. Once the amount is in your M3 Wallet, you can request the amount to be transferred to your regular account.

How much can you earn?
You can expect to earn an equivalent to a good hourly wage, even by Danish standards. For 30-minutes online surveys 300 DKK and upwards are common. For an hour of telephone interview or online focus group, you can earn as much as 1000 DKK per hour, sometimes more for certain medical specialists.

What surveys are we talking about?
M3 Global Research helps people in the healthcare industry access the expert opinions of doctors and various other professionals regarding products and services currently or potentially being marketed. These may include new or expanded prescription medications, medical equipment, insurance-related issues, or different treatment options for specific diseases, among many others.

It is critically important for anyone introducing new innovations in this complicated and competitive space to conduct the most thorough research possible to ensure their products are relevant, safe, and will have an opportunity to succeed in the marketplace. M3 is the recognized worldwide leader in doing just that.

Spam or scam?
You can expect to receive invitations to participate in paid surveys via email. The quantity depends on how many surveys are available to your medical specialty and experience. There is no spam. And it’s not a scam either: M3 Inc. is a publicly traded company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Is it indirect advertising?
It is not our experience that it is indirect advertising. Company names are not mentioned, and there are no nuding towards specific answers.

How do I get paid?
You will receive the compensation deposited into your bank account, or through other payment options that you may select on your wallet when you log into your M3 account.

How do I sign up?
You can sign up for M3 here. When you sign up, you have to go through a validation process to ensure that you are a healthcare professional and to verify your identity. To be honest, it’s a bit cumbersome, but on the other hand, it’s also a sign that there is strict control, proving they are serious and care about the quality of their research.
